Welcome to Norfolk Sands

Thank you for visiting our site. We are a local Sands group of volunteers who have all been affected by the loss of babies. Norfolk Sands provides support to parents, grandparents, family and friends who have experienced loss through stillbirth or neonatal death.

We offer support whenever a baby dies, however long ago that might have been. You may not want anything from us right away; we are here to help whenever you feel you need it. That may be now or in a few weeks, months or even years.

Norfolk Sands is one of a UK wide Network of Sands Groups. We offer email support as well as our monthly support meetings.

Our adult support meetings are now face to face again and we also run a separate child friendly meet. Please see our Support Meetings page for more information.

Fundraising for the James Paget

We are helping raise money to help with the improvements of facilities provided in the maternity counselling room at the James Paget hospital. If you would like further information or to get involved please click here.

We need volunteers to help us

Befrienders

We really need Befrienders, especially if you can cover an area outside Norwich. Sands offers training for this position and you will be supported throughout.

Anyone interested in volunteering in any other capacity, however large or small are all very welcome. We are a very friendly group and it would be lovely to have you.

Sands United Football Club Norwich

A new football club based in Norwich for all in Norwich and the surrounding area. This football club is for Dads who have experienced baby loss. No level of footballing ability is required! We are here simply to meet new friends and support each other in a fun and friendly, zero pressure, team environment.

Get in touch through Sands United FC Norwich Twitter and Facebook or email SUFCNorwich@gmail.com.

Ongoing Project:

Norfolk Sands would like to invite you to take part in a community art project to celebrate our babies. We would like you to make a bunting pennant in honour and remembrance of a baby who is important to you. Please see the Stitched Memories page for more details.

Browse the website and use the contact page if you would like support or to request further information.
